Ib (pronounced "Eeb") was born in Eugene, Oregon, USA
and raised by his Norwegian father and American mother in Sweden, Malawi and South Africa.
After completing an undergraduate degree in history and languages
he completed a graduate degree in Divinity in the USA.
He has 10 years of law enforcement experience at a Sheriff's Office in Colorado, USA.
He is married with six grown children. He currently lives with his wife Rachel in Grenada, West Indies.
He enjoys the study of theology, philosophy, culture and criminal justice.
When he is not busy working or writing he is at sea.

The Royal Grenada Police Force arrive to investigate. The lead constable is Detective Sergeant Amira Nelson. In a matter of hours Sten and Amira’s lives are intertwined, in more ways than one, as they begin to uncover a criminal organization called THE GROUP spanning the Caribbean. How far and how deep does it go?
The peaceful island of Grenada is suddenly exposed to gun battles and assassins. A glimpse of an invisible, merciless Leviathan has been revealed, and Sten and Amira are forced to help each other in a battle they were not prepared for; fighting an unseen enemy who is seemingly everywhere with unlimited resources. Sten and Amira, drawn into the investigation of an unlikely under water death, happen upon a newly submerged vessel located near where the body was found. Why are others trying to salvage the cargo? Why does a Grenada Coast Guard officer commit suicide? To whom does the vessel belong?
They find themselves embroiled in questions of international finance and possible corruption at multiple levels and unheard of depths. To what lengths will they need to go to find the truth? Whom can they trust as they pursue answers and are themselves pursued?
While running, hiding, escaping, planning and surviving they realize that the only people they can really trust are each other. How deep is that trust?

The bonds of their relationship tighten and solidify. They return to Carriacou (Carry-a-cou) to enjoy Carnival as they take a well deserved break. The break does not last long though. Three young girls are missing. Vessels that belonged to THE GROUP have come and gone. Is there a connection? They have been commanded to find the missing girls.
What follows is a secret mission to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. A night rescue and a game of cat-and-mouse between sailing vessels on the Caribbean Sea and among the Grenadine islands. The outward peaceful and lawful façade of the islands is marred by human trafficking. Will Sten and Amira find the girls in time before they disappear completely?
